ABOUT
Hi! I'm Natassia, 28 and native to a British town built on fish bones known as ‘the edge of the world.’ Inspired by the secrecies of underrepresented local communities and Hull’s fisherman folklore – there is actually an unwritten rule that no one is allowed to say the P-I-G word - FAT TAIL is a story that began when I was 12. Teachers dismissed my notions of a serious writing career but finding salvation in storytelling I quit Law School and I now work in a local food store, dedicating myself to learning how to write while sharing my journey online.

SYNOPSIS
The moment seventeen-year-old Kist Heller accidentally reveals to a stranger that she was born with letters in her eyes, her world hideously changes.
Violently kidnapped by mad scientists, she survives the bonelace mutation - a shockingly corrupt procedure sponsored by millionaire investors who now see Kist as the Fat Tail.
Kist’s choices are no longer her own. Bound to a continuing experiment that killed her mother, she is a high-risk asset owned by one of the most formidable shareholders in Hull. Even worse, groups of strange people are dangerously fixated with the chemical reaction the bonelace has on her breath, and they’re prepared to break all the rules to get what they want.
Drawn by the undeniable attraction between her and mysterious boy Luc, Kist is desperate to find an antidote to the cravings before her face is ripped off and dares to do the unthinkable. But there is a hefty price to every wrong move she makes.
Developing abilities that she cannot control, Kist can trust no one as she is torn between her past, vindicating her mother's death and following her heart. The Journey
This is my first instagram of my writing journey. If you look closely, you'll see it was taken over 143 WEEKS ago... and I started writing the story even longer than that!

Writing takes a long time. Not only due to the huge amount of editing that takes place after the first draft is completed (not to mention the different types of editing you have to do) but also because as a writer, I am constantly learning how to cast spells over people with words.
